These coffee filter ghost lollipops are not only cute, they are so incredibly simple to make! This is a nostalgic and classic Halloween treat that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.
I remember going to a Halloween party as a kid and the host of the party hid these ghost lollipops all around the yard for us kids to find. It is a Halloween memory that has always stuck with me.
I enjoy making these every Halloween season, and my kids get the biggest kick out of them. My two older boys are of the age now they are able to help me assemble these cute little ghosts.
Just follow the simple steps below and you too can make these!
SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED:
- Lollipops (Tootsie Roll Pops work the best)
- Coffee Filters (Two per ghost)
- Black Ribbon
- Mini Rubber Bands
- Sharpie
STEP ONE:
Take two coffee filters and keep them layered, this will help keep the lollipop wrapper from showing. Place the lollipop in the center of the coffee filters.
STEP TWO:
Carefully wrap your lollipop with the center of the coffee filters. Secure with your mini rubber band. I wrapped my rubber band around twice.
Next you’ll want to “fluff” the “skirt” to give a cute ghostly effect. Just simply pull the sides of the filter out and eliminate any ruffles and wrinkles in the paper.
STEP THREE:
Using a Sharpie, add two eyes and a mouth to your ghost. I like to do the eyes round and the mouth a little more oval and vertical.
STEP FOUR:
Cut off enough ribbon to tie in a bow around the neck of your ghost, creating a cute little bow tie for him! You can use thick or thin ribbon depending on what you have. My ribbon was somewhere in the middle.
You could get creative and add some simple star garland as well to make your ghost a little fancier!
CONCLUSION
Ghost Lollipops are such a fun and easy Halloween treat that will add creativity and pizzazz to any Halloween party. They are so easy to put together and require minimal supplies. You and your kids will have so much fun following these simple steps to create your cute little ghost pops!
There are so many ways you can enjoy these treats. You can bring them to school for a Halloween treat or display them for your guests at a party. The possibilities are endless!
Have Fun Creating!
